Diversity.  There is a stable population of persons with French, British, German, and Swiss backgrounds, both in business and tourism.  The tourism sector attracts individuals with European backgrounds.  There are Asian nationals here with certain technology sectors. Diverse cultures are found in the two local churches (French Reformed and Anglican), language schools, tourist sectors, and embassies. The American School is proud to have over 50 nationalities represented.

Health Care.  Quality medical services are fairly easy to obtain.  You will find some English-speaking doctors available. Emergency care in a local private hospital (clinique) is much cheaper and quicker than the typical emergency room in the United States. Even outpatient procedures are much less expensive.
