The respected American website "Frommer's" specializing in travel, has announced its ranking of the best tourist destinations for 2010. Tunisia is at the top of this ranking that favors a dozen countries from a total of 3500 different destinations.

"Frommer's is known for its popular travel guides distributed in the United States and 25 other countries .At the end of each year, the website publishes a ranking of frommers.com best tourist destinations for the coming year. This choice is based on the suggestions of authors and other publishers and tourism professionals. The survey questioned 1,200 readers about a list of 3500 destinations.

votes took place during the months of October and November 2009 for the top global destinations in 2010 (published  December 1st). It  described  Tunisia as a country  with a unique mosaics  of cultural influences : an Arab-Islamic culture mixed with the spirit and beauty of the Mediterranean landscapes that make the charm of North Africa. The site praised Tunisia especially  as the best face of a typical architecture, that of the Medina, alongside colonial architecture.

Tunisia and Abu Dhabi are the only Arab destinations mentioned  out of the 12 selected countries.This ranking might be an excellent boost to the Tunisia's image that would open up new markets specially the American market.
